Curriculum

The 27-credit, online master’s degree program is completed on a part-time basis for six semesters over the course of two years.

The Global Aerospace Leadership MEng has a 27-credit curriculum broken down into three academic pillars.

Aerospace Science and Engineering (9 credits)

The technical foundation includes advanced application of aerospace sciences, systems design, emerging technologies, digitalization, and sustainability.

Business Application (9 credits)

The business and leadership pillar features essential leadership and business topics such as innovation and design thinking, complex project management, finance, strategy, negotiations, and organizational leadership. The University of Michigan Department of Aerospace Engineering is partnering with INSEAD to provide six of the nine total credits of Business Application courses.

Aerospace Enterprise Integration (9 credits)

The pinnacle of the program is integration of the technical and business pillars and includes risk management, Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), aerospace economics, and a team-based capstone project.
